Q- I have bird droppings on my siding, will it come off with a house wash? 

A- Depending on the type of siding you have. The toughest siding to remove bird droppings from is Hardiplank.

Q- Do I need to schedule an in person/on site Estimate?

A- Absolutely not. We understand your time is valuable and the last thing you'd want to do is sit around waiting for us. We provide instant quotes (that will never change) based on tax records and online imagery of your home. The only thing that would ever change a quote is if another item was added to our tasks other than what was quoted. Keep this in mind when requesting your quote for service. Include everything in your request that you want cleaned. If you request your House and Driveway to be cleaned; your request will not include public sidewalks unless you request them in advance to be cleaned as well. 

Q- Do I need to be home to have the service completed?

A- No you do not need to be home to have the service completed. However, We do require access to working hose spigots so make sure the water is on from shut off valves inside your home and we do expect payment upon completion so either leave a check or have arrangements with us to pay via credit card over the phone.

Q- Will you move any of my outdoor furniture or clean around it?

A- Most appointments scheduled are with one (1) company representative so the short answer is No.

Long answer is Yes "within reason". If you have a few chairs that just need to be moved around as we clean of course we are going to go above and beyond to make the area as clean as possible. What we cannot do is move furniture down off of decks, move items that require more than one person to lift or move anything we feel may get broke if we move. Any items you request we move, we are not liable for if they break due to extensive sun exposure as all materials break down over time in the sun. 

Q- Is there anything else I should know prior to my service appointment?

A- Once your appointment is scheduled via email, we will arrive within the 2 hour block provided during scheduling. We do not call prior to arrival unless a request is made at the time of booking. Please have all items you feel need to be moved away from the area's being cleaned prior to our arrival.

Q- I live out of state but have rentals/Airbnb in the area that I need pressure washed. Can you complete this for me?

A- Yes, payment will be requested and authorized at the time of booking. Upon completion of the work an email will be sent with before and after photo's of the requested tasks. We complete many of jobs each week for real estate agents in the area. We also arrange our calendar on a weekly basis to leave blocks to immediately accommodate our rental/real-estate customers as soon as possible. 

Q- Does Shanty Shine remove screens?  

A- No, we do NOT remove screens. With our soft wash process, no pressure is present which ensure your screens are safe from any damage. They get cleaned as well during the wash process. 

 

A- Yes, You could remove the screens prior to our arrival. This will ensure foreign debris do not get caught in between the screen and the window.

 

We currently do not offer the removal of screens.
